In the government we trust......FRAUD!

Each entry has a proof site to click on...Scroll down, it gets worse as you go.
Unbelievable! But, does it surprise you?

The amount of federal taxes that Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner (D) failed to pay during his employment at the International Monetary Fund despite receiving extra compensation and explanatory brochures that described his
tax liabilities. True: ... omine.html ;

The amount of money that the head of the powerful tax-writing committee, Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY), was forced to report on his taxes after the discovery that he had not reported income from a Dominican Republic rental property. His excuses for the failure started with blaming his wife, then his accountant and finally the fact that he didn't speak Spanish. True ... 128444.htm ;

The INCREASE in the amount of petty cash each of our Congressional representatives voted to give themselves in January 2009 during the height of an economic meltdown. That's a $40 + million INCREASE! ... akers.html ; See video here from Fox

The amount Fannie Mae "invested" in Chris Dodd (D-CT), head of the powerful Senate Banking Committee, presumably to repel oversight of the GSE prior to its meltdown. Said meltdown helped touch off the current economic crisis. In only a few years time, Fannie also "invested" over $105,000 in then-Senator Barack Obama. True: ... fanni.html ;

The amount of "sweetheart" mortgages Senate Banking Chairman Chris Dodd (D-CT) received from Countrywide Financial, the details for which he has refused to release details despite months of promises to do so. Countrywide was once the nation's largest mortgage lender and linked to Government-Sponsored Entities like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Their meltdown precipitated the current financial crisis. Just days ago in Pennsylvania , Countrywide was forced to pay $150,000,000 in mortgage assistance following "a state investigation that concluded that Countrywide relaxed its underwriting standards to sell risky loans to consumers who did not understand them and could not afford them." True: ... 310531.DTL ;

($4.19 billion) the amount of money in the so-called "Stimulus" package devoted to fraudulent voter registration ACORN group under the auspices of "Community Stabilization Activities". ACORN is currently the subject of a RICO suit in Ohio . True: ... ill-pelosi ;

The approximate amount of annual United States exports endangered by the "Stimulus" package, which provides a "Buy American" stricture. Well, I keep reading in the Voice (Local S/E Michigan Newspaper) how a lot of people are fed-up with Washington and all of the corrupt politicians both Democrats and Republicans. Some say….get out and vote, vote the other party or get involved. We have conservative and liberal columnists spewing out all kinds of nonsense. We have some, like me, saying that there should be more (party) choices. Guess what…..Washington loves it, yeah, that’s right, they love it. You see, the more controversy there is the more we are fragmented and the more Washington will do as they please for their own agenda. What we need is protesting like the Vietnam War, where thousands marched on Washington and DEMANDED change, in their face, disrupt the cycle, disrupt them from getting to work (?), disrupt complacency, let them know that we are not the fools they take us for and they are NOT the ‘elite’ that they THINK they are. Remember all the controversy about the taxpayers funded gym for Congress. All the hoopla didn't last a week and everybody forgot about it cause now there are other nonsense things that Congress is doing. You see, Congress just loves the controversy, that way we can’t get focused on any particular item.
It would be good for America if more people realized that we need, at least, 3 or 4 parties (or no parties at all, vote for the person) for a good checks-and-balance. Keeping it the way it is, is disastrous. The Republicans will keep saying that if you give the rich a tax break they will create more jobs....BS. They will cram more cash into their pockets is what they will do. The Democrats will keep saying that if we give more people free things they will have a better life....BS. They will create a society of more lazy people looking for a handout and the government spending goes out-of-control. The people that ‘need’ help are a totally different story. A little insight on taxes: In the news lately is Warren Buffett saying that he doesn't pay enough taxes. Wow, that is amazing for a Democrat. But, Warren is a multi billionaire, about 50 billion, paying only 17.4% last year with his 20 middle class office staff paying from 33% - 41%. Now, if the tax structure was honestly based on what his middle class office workers pay, Warren would be paying 45% - 50% and there wouldn't be about 47% of the people paying nothing. So his politician friends won’t fix the tax problem, then they’ll have to pay more. A little insight on ‘free’ things (Unchecked Welfare): Well, first of all, there is no such thing as ‘free’ and second; you can see what happens to government spending when you have ‘free’ things. We need to get the culture away from ‘free’ and get it to ‘earn’!
Years ago when the Social Security fund was bulging because of the ‘Baby Boomers’ you didn't have ONE politician Republican or Democrat say….”maybe we should keep the money in the trust fund and let it collect the interest cause you know the day will come when ‘they’ will retire and we will need ‘their’ money for them.” Not one politician with enough brains to see the light at the end of the tunnel. All they saw were dollar signs and they wanted to SPEND! Now with this debt ceiling debacle the first thing out of their mouth was to reduce Social Security and Medicare. No mention of stopping the ridiculous Foreign Aid, Government programs that don’t work, sending illegals home, reducing Congress’s salaries/benefits or getting rid of their tax payer funded (private) gym. We pay for it and we can’t get in to take a look at it. All that Congress needs is a calliope for their latest act. AND speaking of their salaries/benefits, you do see where they create work for themselves don’t you? I’m convinced if they would focus on what mattered we could have part-time legislators doing a better job than what the highly paid full-time ones do now. Example: Why does the government think that they have anything to do with sports? If some fool wants to pay $500/seat to see some drug head ruin the stats of a particular sport, what business is that of the governments? Every sport has a sanctioning body to deal with problems/rules of that sport. Let them do their job and the government should mind its own business and do the job that we elected them to do and that’s not making rules for sport teams. Before you know it Congress will call the umpires in for a bad call at first base!
Barack’O just went through a ‘loan’ agreement with GM and Chrysler. Now, where does the ‘government’ think that it gets the power to FIRE anybody or appoint a Car-Czar. It’s a loan it wasn't a purchase. If I were GM, I would pay off the loan, have security show the Car-Czar the front door and get Rick Wagner back in as CEO, if only symbolic, just for a short term, then thumb their noses back at Barack’O and Washington. We have to put the politicians in their place and not let them run rampant, think that they are the ‘elite’ and trample on the Constitution.
So, where does this lead us? We need compromise and the only way that will happen is ‘forced’ compromise. Getting us to a 3 or 4 party system is needed but would be a monumental task, cause the politicians will keep telling us how the Electoral College, Districts and Party, D & R (not person) vote is the only way….HAH! When the Electoral College was envisioned we needed it to get the ‘groups’ vote, with one person on horseback, going to Washington. Now we can get a vote from Main to Hawaii in a nanosecond, so why do we still need it (?), for the politician’s sake! Districts, now there’s a story in itself, probably illegal in some instances. Every time a ‘party’ gets elected it starts to manipulate the districts to suit/help that particular parties $$/numbers/donations in a district. This puts up a blockade to voters and other parties, hence, the two party system going nowhere. We have computers that could map out districts by people/area, so why don’t they use a computer type system (?), for the politicians/parties sake! Then you have the ‘party’ vote in primaries and not a person vote. Sure, if it was a person vote you could conceivably get both/all parties representing the same district….wouldn't that be great, checks and balance, compromise all in one fell swoop! The two parties are not going to let that happen!
So, (from the Voice Newspapers) William T. and the Whigs, keep pushing; Kenneth J. and GOP/Jobs-Jobs-Jobs **Snyder info, keep us informed; John C. and ‘We can change’, keep the faith; me, I’ll keep posting things on my web-site and when enough is enough, I will see you on Pennsylvania Ave. hopefully someday soon! Remember, we need to do something historic to get ‘We the People’ back in control based on the Constitution! That could be something as easy as voting for someone in the weeds and NOT in the limelight. But, above all, we need to solidify and work as one against the government putting petty differences aside!

**Now, I’m not making light of Snyder’s (Michigan's Governor) ‘Job’ program, it’s serious business, but he turned every debate and conversation into ‘Jobs’ and when he got in office that wasn't the first thing he focused on or signed, it was taxes. If I wanted taxes I would have voted for a Democrat.

A little more on the post above...Washington loving controversy. There are 'thousands' of groups around the USA fighting the politicians:
National Rifle Association, National Association for Gun Rights, National Retiree Legislative Network, Citizens United for American Sovereignty (Mike Huckabee), Citizens Against Government Waste (Senator Jim DeMint), American Conservative Union (Fighting Barack'O/liberals that are against Fox News), Freedom Works, News Alert USA......there are hundreds of these groups if not the question, WHY DO WE NEED ALL THIS BS???? We should march on Washington and 'physically' take over the town and clean up the mess! And while were at it, shut down the U.N. and sell all vacant 'Government ' buildings! Let the U.N. go someplace else if the world thinks it needs it. I am sick of paying the 'bill' all of the time and other Nations telling us what to do on OUR dime!

OK, gang, soooo when is enough....enough?

I have never read a more succinct, to the point summary of what's wrong with our Legislative body. Well worth reading and even passing on if the mood strikes you.
Very articulate (and pretty accurate also) letter to the two U.S. Senators from Washington State.

April 3, 2013

Senator Patty Murray
Senator Maria Cantwell
Washington , DC , 20510

Dear Senator:
I have tried to live by the rules my entire life. My father was a Sergeant Major, U.S. Army, who died of combat related stresses shortly after his retirement. It was he who instilled in me those virtues he felt important - honesty, duty, patriotism and obeying the laws of our various governments. I have served my country, paid my taxes, worked hard, volunteered and donated my fair share of money, time and artifacts.

Today, as I approach my 79th birthday, I am heart-broken when I look at my country and my government. I shall only point out a very few things abysmally wrong which you can multiply by a thousand fold. I have calculated that all the money I have paid in income taxes my entire life cannot even keep the Senate barbershop open for one year! Only Heaven and a few tight-lipped actuarial types know what the Senate dining room costs the taxpayers. So please, enjoy your haircuts and meals on us.

Last year, the president spent an estimated $1.4 billion on himself and his family. The vice president spends $millions on hotels. They have had 8 vacations so far this year! And our House of Representatives and Senate have become America 's answer to the Saudi royal family. You have become the "perfumed princes and princesses" of our country.

In the middle of the night, you voted in the Affordable Health Care Act, a.k.a. "Obama Care," a bill which no more than a handful of senators or representatives read more than several paragraphs, crammed it down our throats, and then promptly exempted yourselves from it substituting your own taxpayer-subsidized golden health care insurance.

You live exceedingly well, eat and drink as well as the "one percenters," consistently vote yourselves perks and pay raises while making 3.5 times the average U.S. individual income, and give up nothing while you (as well as the president and veep) ask us to sacrifice due to sequestration (for which, of course, you plan to blame the Republicans, anyway).

You understand very well the only two rules you need to know - (1) How to get elected, and (2) How to get re-elected. And you do this with the aid of an eagerly willing and partisan press, speeches permeated with a certain economy of truth, and by buying the votes of the greedy, the ill-informed and under-educated citizens (and non-citizens, too, many of whom do vote) who are looking for a handout rather than a job. Your so-called "safety net" has become a hammock for the lazy. And, what is it now, about 49 or 50 million on food stamps - pretty much all Democrat voters - and the program is absolutely rife with fraud with absolutely no congressional oversight?

I would offer that you are not entirely to blame. What changed you is the seductive environment of power in which you have immersed yourselves. It is the nature of both houses of Congress which requires you to subordinate your virtue in order to get anything done until you have achieved a leadership role. To paraphrase President Reagan, it appears that the second oldest profession (politics), bears a remarkably strong resemblance to the oldest.

As the hirsute first Baron John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton (1834 - 1902), English historian and moralist, so aptly and accurately stated, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." I'm only guessing that this applies to the female sex as well. Tell me, is there a more corrupt entity in this country than Congress?

While we middle class people continue to struggle, our government becomes less and less transparent, more and more bureaucratic, and ever so much more dictatorial, using Czars and Secretaries to tell us (just to mention a very few) what kind of light bulbs we must purchase, how much soda or hamburgers we can eat, what cars we can drive, gasoline to use, and what health care we must buy. Countless thousands of pages of regulations strangle our businesses costing the consumer more and more every day.

As I face my final year, or so, with cancer, my president and my government tell me "You'll just have to take a pill," while you, Senator, your colleagues, the president, and other exulted government officials and their families will get the best possible health care on our tax dollars until you are called home by your Creator while also enjoying a retirement beyond my wildest dreams, which of course, you voted for yourselves and we pay for.

The chances of you reading this letter are practically zero as your staff will not pass it on, but with a little luck, a form letter response might be generated by them with an auto signature applied, hoping we will believe that you, our senator or representative, has heard us and actually cares. This letter will, however, go on line where many others will have the chance to read one person's opinion, rightly or wrongly, about this government, its administration and its senators and representatives.

I only hope that occasionally you might quietly thank the taxpayer for all the generous entitlements which you have voted yourselves, for which, by law, we must pay, unless, of course, it just goes on the $17 trillion national debt for which your children and ours, and your grandchildren and ours, ad infinitum, must eventually try to pick up the tab.

My final thoughts are that it must take a person who has either lost his or her soul, or conscience, or both, to seek re-election and continue to destroy this country I deeply love and put it so far in debt that we will never pay it off while your lot improves by the minute, because of your power. For you, Senator, will never stand up to the rascals in your House who constantly deceive the American people. And that, my dear Senator, is how power has corrupted you and the entire Congress. The only answer to clean up this cesspool is term limits. This, of course, will kill the goose that lays your golden eggs. And woe be to him (or her) who would dare to bring it up.

A Great Analogy, THIS IS BRILLIANT!!
If you start with a cage containing five monkeys and inside the cage, hang a banana on a string from the top and then you place a set of stairs under the banana, before long a monkey will go to the stairs and climb toward the banana.

As soon as he touches the stairs, you spray all the other monkeys with cold water.

After a while another monkey makes an attempt with same result... all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.

Now, put the cold water away.

Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one.

The new monkey sees the banana and attempts to climb the stairs. To his shock, all of the other monkeys beat the crap out of him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs he will be assaulted.

Next, remove another of the original five monkeys, replacing it with a new one.

The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment... with enthusiasm, because he is now part of the "team".

Then, replace a third original monkey with a new one, followed by the fourth, then the fifth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairs, he is attacked.

Now, the monkeys that are beating him up have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs. Neither do they know why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.

Finally, having replaced all of the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys will have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, not one of the monkeys will try to climb the stairway for the banana.

Why, you ask? Because in their minds... that is the way it has always been!

Harry Reid was asked why things take so long to get done and his direct quote was: "that is the way it has always been". This is how dumb DC has become....he never did say ANYTHING about trying to correct it and the government has the guts to send a CZAR to the Detroit automakers when NOBODY in the current administration has any kind of business experience. They, our corrupt government, you know....the ones that THINK that they are the elite, couldn't run a business if a gun was put to their head.

This, my friends, is how Congress operates... and this is why, from time to time:
ALL of the monkeys need to be REPLACED.

Our corrupt government at it's finest!

I just knew there had to be more there.
This is an interesting and revealing report - Worth the read.
True, Cliven Bundy isn’t pure clean on this whole thing as he was violating fee laws,
but the whole incident surely opened up a can of worms and other deals in crony capitalism.

Harry Reid's Last Roundup

Exclusive: Joseph Farah exposes China deal possibly driving fed action against rancher.

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy performed a remarkable public service for America over the last couple weeks.

He exposed the utter ruthlessness, brutishness and Gestapo tactics of the federal government in dealing with honest, hard-working Americans who live off the land – our land.

Claiming Bundy’s cattle ranching operation was endangering desert tortoises, the Bureau of Land Management treated him like he was Ted Bundy. I take that back. The serial rapist, mass and necrophile got due process.

When Cliven Bundy’s neighbors turned out to support him, as good American neighbors should, the BLM sent in helicopters, four-wheel-drive vehicles and an estimated 200 armed officers to deal with the cowboy and his family, threatening another Ruby Ridge or Waco-style slaughter.

But I don’t think it was about tortoises. No, sir. In fact, with all the gear and manpower the BLM brought to Clark County to round up the cowboy and his cattle, they did more environmental damage to the area than Cliven Bundy ever could have dreamed of doing.

This was about something else. It’s always about something else.

Maybe – just maybe – it had to do with another Nevadan by the name of Harry Reid.

It seems the Senate majority leader has been doing favors for a Chinese energy giant ENN, which has plans to build massive solar facilities in that area – tortoises or no tortoises.

It seems the director of BLM is Reid’s former senior adviser, Neil Kornze. BLM had posted on its website documents stating the agency wanted Bundy’s cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations. The agency removed it when the standoff became national news.

“Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle,” the document states.

That would be the Chinese solar plant – the Management, or BLM.

They were getting a mega-deal. On April 3, 2012, Bloomberg reported Chinese billionaire Wang Yusuo, one of China’s richest citizens and the founder of ENN, had teamed up with Harry Reid to win incentives including land 113 miles southeast of Las Vegas that ENN sought to buy for $4.5 million, less than one-eighth of the land’s $38.6 million assessed value.

But the story gets better. Harry Reid’s son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5-billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nev.

A Reuters report stated: “[Reid] and his oldest son, Rory, are both involved in an effort by a Chinese energy giant, ENN Energy Group, to build a $5 billion solar farm and panel manufacturing plant in the southern Nevada desert. Reid has been one of the project’s most prominent advocates, helping recruit the company during a 2011 trip to China and applying his political muscle on behalf of the project in Nevada. His son, a lawyer with a prominent Las Vegas firm that is representing ENN, helped it locate a 9,000-acre (3,600-hectare) desert site that it is buying well below appraised value from Clark County, where Rory Reid formerly chaired the county commission.”

And there’s an even bigger story of scandal and corruption still beneath this show of force by the BLM, orchestrated by Harry Reid.

On Jan. 20, 2013, WND warned Chinese government-backed economists were proposing a plan to allow Chinese corporations to set up “development zones” in the United States as part of a plan proposed by the Chinese government to convert into equity the more than $1 trillion in U.S. Treasury debt owned by the Chinese government.

The next day, Jan. 21, 2013, WND documented the Obama administration had begun to allow China to acquire major ownership interests in oil and natural gas resources across the USA.

The first major intrusion of China in the U.S. oil and natural gas market can be traced to the Obama administration decision in October 2009 to allow state-owned Chinese energy giant China Offshore Oil Corporation, or CNOOC, to purchase a multi-million-dollar stake in 600,000 acres of South Texas oil and gas fields.

By allowing China to have equity interests in U.S. oil and natural gas production, the Obama administration reversed a policy of the Bush administration that in 2005 blocked China on grounds of national security concerns from an $18.4-billion deal in which China planned to purchase California-based Unocal Corp.

China’s two, giant, state-owned oil companies acquiring oil and natural gas interests in the USA are CNOOC, 100 percent owned by the government of the People’s Republic of China, and Sinopec Group, the largest shareholder of Sinopac Corporation, an investment company owned by the government of the People’s Republic of China, incorporated in China in 1998, largely to acquire and operate oil and natural gas interests worldwide.

On March 6, 2012, the Wall Street Journal compiled a state-by-state list of the $17 billion in oil and natural gas equity interests CNOOC and Sinopec have acquired in the United States since 2010.

* Colorado: CNOOC gained a one-third stake in 800,000 acres in northeast Colorado and southwest Wyoming in a $1.27-billion pact with Chesapeake Energy Corporation.

* Louisiana: Sinopec has a one-third interest in 265,000 acres in the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale after a broader $2.5-billion deal with Devon Energy.

* Michigan: Sinopec gained a one-third interest in 350,000 acres in a larger $2.5-billion deal with Devon Energy.

* Ohio: Sinopec acquired a one-third interest in Devon Energy’s 235,000 Utica Shale acres in a larger $2.5-billion deal.

* Oklahoma: Sinopec has a one-third interest in 215,000 acres in a broader $2.5-billion deal with Devon Energy.

* Texas: CNOOC acquired a one-third interest in Chesapeake Energy’s 600,000 acres in the Eagle Ford Shale in a $2.16-billion deal.

* Wyoming: CNOOC has a one-third stake in northeast Colorado and southeast Wyoming after a $1.27-billion pact with Chesapeake Energy. Sinopec gained a one-third interest in Devon Energy’s 320,000 acres as part of a larger $2.5-billion deal.

On March 6, 2012, in a separate story, the Wall Street Journal described that China’s strategy implemented since 2010 by Fu Chengyu, who has served as chairman of both CNOOC and Sinopec, involved the following components: “Seek minority states, play a passive role, and, in a nod to U.S. regulators, keep Chinese personnel at arm’s length from advanced U.S. technology.”

But back to Cliven Bundy and Harry Reid.

Remember Solyndra?

ENN intended to create solar energy farms on the Nevada land, despite the nearly 50 percent plunge in solar panel prices globally in the previous 15 months that led to the bankruptcy of solar equipment maker Solyndra LLC, which had received approximately $535 million in U.S. government loan guarantees.

And, yes, money exchanged hands between ENN and Reid. The Chinese energy company contributed $40,650 individually and through its political action committee to Sen. Reid over the previous three election cycles.

Reid was recruited by ENN during a 2011 trip he took to China with nine other U.S. senators, supposedly to invite Chinese investment in the United States. The Senate group accompanying Reid on his 2011 trip to China included six other Democrats and three Republicans: Richard Shelby, R-Ala.; Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Dick Durbin, D-Ill.; Mike Enzi, R-Wyo.; Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.; Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J.; Johnny Isakson, R-Ga.; Jeff Merkley, D-Ore.; and Michael Bennet, D-Colo.

Thank you, Cliven Bundy for bringing all of this to the public’s attention. America is with you. I am with you.
Thank you for exposing how crony capitalism works hand in hand with phony environmentalism.

Indeed, as Kris Kristofferson once wrote, “Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.”

"The Obama administration obviously won't be held accountable because they apparently accept Hillary Clinton's assessment, "What difference does it make?"

Do we act like the press and give a pass to the incompetent people who literally sat there in the White House and watched the Seals' execution on live streaming video and did absolutely nothing?

The poem was written by an anonymous Marine Corps officer who wants the U.S. to remember.

We're the battling boys of Benghazi,

No fame, no glory, no paparazzi.

Just a fiery death in a blazing hell,

Defending our country we loved so well.

It wasn't our job, but we answered the call,

fought to the Consulate and scaled the wall.

We pulled twenty countrymen from the jaws of fate,

Led them to safety and stood at the gate.

Just the two of us and foes by the score,

But we stood fast to bar the door.

Three calls for reinforcement, but all were denied,

So we fought and we fought and we fought till we died.

We gave our all for our Uncle Sam,

But Barack and Hillary didn't give a damn.

Just two dead Seals who carried the load,

No thanks to us...we were just "Bumps In The Road".

A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right and evil doesn't become good just because your a politician.

Texas high school students raised a Mexican flag on a school flag pole, other students took it down. Guess who was expelled...the students who took it down.

California high school students were sent home on Cinco de Mayo because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them.

Enough is enough!

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), as it is formally known, is a controversial program in Congress because of its huge cost and checkered track record for fraud and waste. The program served nearly 47 million people in fiscal 2014 at a cost of $76 billion.
Folks, that's $1,617,021.30, yeah MILLION (ALMOST TWO), per person. Ya think that there are HUGE salaries here? Well of course there are....remember, the Government CAN'T do ANYTHING right!!!!
